PALM PIKE’S MISSION
Save the bees, enjoy the outdoors, respect nature, and live one sweet life.
LIVE ONE SWEET LIFE
Palm Pike was founded with the environment in mind. From the coastal palms of South Florida to the mountain pikes of the Appalachians and beyond, we want to promote and protect a life of meaning outside the box. We are beekeepers passionate about saving bees and addressing the challenges of climate change. We want to share how to live a meaningful life while minimizing the impact on our environment. As a sustainable apiary located in South Florida, we specialize in saving wild beehives, educating the public on pollinators, and supplying our community with all natural raw honey.
Founded by Jovany Rodriguez and Tasha Trujillo, we are utterly obsessed with the outdoors. Our love for bees started in 2015 when Tasha first learned about the declining bee population while studying Sustainability at Florida International University. Jovany, of course, was completely on board with becoming beekeepers and without him, we wouldn’t have gotten our first hive in 2016! The rest is history and we’re madly in love with this one sweet life. In 2018, we brought on our good friend, Jesus Blanco, who is passionate about all things insects and wildlife! Together we’re a great team working on saving beehives and educating the public on honey bees!
ABOUT OUR COMMITMENT
As a sustainable apiary, we are committed to doing our best to make sure our operation has the least impact on the environment. We are advocates for rescuing wild bees from extermination, which is why we specialize in live bee removal. When it comes to our products, we try to use completely recyclable items like our glass honey jars with metal tops. When possible, we also build our own beekeeping materials from salvaged wood. Our goal is to save as many beehives as possible so we can provide the world with delicious, good-for-you, honey while helping the environment!
